De Matteis Law is recruiting a lawyer to join its EU payments and financial regulation practice in Rome.
The role is aimed principally at lawyers with approximately four to eight years of post-qualification experience and combines direct client work with close collaboration with founding partner Andrea De Matteis.
The role
The successful candidate will advise leading international clients on complex EU and Italian regulatory matters, including PSD3 and the PSR, agentic commerce, crypto-assets, DORA and digital identity. The work also includes selected competition matters in the payments sector.
We are looking for outstanding analytical and legal-writing skills, fluent Italian and English, sound judgement and a strong commitment to excellent client service.
Location and terms
- Rome, with hybrid flexibility;
- approximately 4–8 years’ PQE, with flexibility for exceptional candidates;
- annual gross professional compensation of €50,000–€85,000, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a performance-based component.
